ADD A LITTLE FLASH TO YOUR WEB SITE
Are you looking
for ways to spice up your Web site? A Flash Element may be the answer to get
your site moving. Flash, a Web browser plug-in developed by Macromedia, Inc.,
allows a Web browser to display multimedia rich content such as animated images
and interactive games and presentations. A Flash Element consists of using Macromedia
Flash for animation, sound, rotating pictures, etc. that cannot be easily done
with an animated GIF. A Flash Element is incorporated into the content of a Web
site and is normally not the focus of a Web site like a Flash Introduction would
be. A Flash Introduction usually costs a lot more than a Flash Element to produce,
and is typically not recommended due to the negative effect they have on how
a search engine ranks your Web site. Why pay for a Flash Introduction that most
people would skip, when you can capture their attention with a Flash Element?
Flash, when used correctly (See our past Newsletter "When
to Use Flash"),
can add value to your Web site and give the appearance that more
is happening than really is. Since a Flash Element is not the focus
of your Web site, those who do not have Flash installed on their
computer or a fast connection will not be left visiting an unusable
Web site. Below is a collection of Web sites that incorporate Flash
Elements that help present their company's message:
LVCBS - http://www.lvcbs.com/ - Their Flash element, located at the
right side of the Web page, displays their company's primary services.
Soul2Soul Bistro- http://www.soul2soulbistro.com/ - Their Flash element,
located at the upper right site of the Web page, displays their food
presentation and atmosphere.
Builders Insurance Company - http://www.nevada-comp.com/ - Their
Flash element is incorporated into the header to give visitors a
visual idea of the type of services the company provides.
Call us today to have a Flash Element incorporated into your Web
Site.
